Es una entidad social creada en 1957 por olivareros de Pozoblanco y de la comarca que ya entonces tenía como objetivo principal proteger el olivar de Los Pedroches y velar por su rentabilidad y por los valores que integra con respecto a la economía de la zona, a su privilegiado entorno natural y a su singular cultura asociada.
La Cooperativa integra a un millar de socios, que desarrollan una actividad agrícola de distintas dimensiones pero con una amplia repercusión social en el territorio. La unión de todas estas personas en torno a la producción de aceites de categoría superior otorga a Olipe una fortaleza única por su labor comprometida y solidaria.
Gracias a esta conjunción de objetivos, la Cooperativa Olivarera de Los Pedroches es un referente mundial de producción ecológica y biodinámica en olivares de montaña y cuenta con un sistema de economía circular que va más allá del aceite y se centra en aprovechar todos los beneficios que ofrece el cultivo del olivo.
