JAS
The certificate JAS, is the certificate of Japanese organic agricultural production created by the Ministry of Forest, Fisheries and Agriculture of Japan.
 
This certificate is necessary for those customers which want to export their organic production to Japan, even if they have certificates from others countries. To obtain this certificate they have to comply with the standards: JAS – “Japanese Agricultural Standards” and to be certified by an accredited certifying body by the Japanese government (MAFF).
 
It is an Organic certificate for agricultural products and for wild harvest in accordance with the JAS standards for the Japanese market.
 
The Organic agriculture is characterised by some basic ideas, for example it preserves or improves the soil fertility, does not use chemical products such as pesticides or artificial nitrogen fertilizers and assures the animal wellbeing.
